My Personal Style

Over the last couple of years I have been trying to define my personal style and how I would like that to mould the way the world sees me. It has been a journey of many misses and of hits too to be quite honest. Now I think I am at a point where I can say I have found my personal style. One’s style is not necessarily what looks good on everyone or what is currently in fashion/trending; but what works for the individual. Fashion and style is not the same thing but they are in the same family and they complement each other. Through fashion you can find your own style. Style is when you take a piece of clothing (fashion) and you make it your own. How you wear it and it brings out your best features, now that is style.

Officially In The 30s

The weekend is upon us and I could not be any more excited. I feel like my mind has been on overdrive and I am constantly thinking and planning my life away. It can be a good thing but it can also be a bad thing as too much of planning tends to leave no opportunity for spontaneous and unplanned fun.

Reinventing Oneself

As I write this post, I reflect on my quest to being a well rounded woman. A woman after her own dreams and aspirations; a home maker; a partner and all that God desires me to be. Change is something that I often preach about but when the time comes to act on it, I am reluctant to act.  I have been thinking long and hard that I am not happy about certain things in my life. I am learning more and more, especially now as an adult that reinventing oneself should be a norm. It should live in me, it should be a part of my everyday, and it should be something I never forget to do because I would have forgotten who I am. So how am I going to see this change through? How are we going to see this change through?

A Day In My Office Wear! Post 6

Good day loves. I have been thinking long and hard about publishing consistently. Now that the blog is growing and has a steady and consistent following, I think it is time that I have a set date for publishing posts. Last year sometime I mentioned that I would like to publish every 3 to 4 days but the challenge with that is it ends up becoming random dates and I cannot keep up with it. So now the new publishing days will be every Tuesday and Saturday and bonus post to be on some Thursdays. This translates to a guaranteed 7 minimum number posts in a month; and I am working towards that. Should there be a change in the schedule for that week, I will let you know on my social media as life is life and anything can happen. I hope you welcome this new change.

What I Am Loving For Autumn And Winter 2017: Outerwear

Hello friends and family! It is that time of the year where I have to take out the Autumn and Winter wear out of storage and prepare for the change in seasons. If it were up to me, there would only be 2 seasons in a year, and that would be the latter. Every other year, I have to spruce up my wardrobe and get rid of old outerwear. Can you believe that I still have jackets, coats and knitwear from my varsity days? Now I am seeking to replace some of those pieces as they are barely recognisable from the way they used to be. So herewith are my favourites from what is in stores now. I went for pieces that I believe are versatile and can take me from one season to another. The colours are on the neutral side and are items that can be dressed up or down. From casual to smart to dressy-real dressy. These items come in multiple colours so panic not when you see my choices. These colours are in line with the ones I want to replace in my wardrobe. The links are on the labels of the items

My Savings And Debt Free Journey Whilst Still Enjoying Simple Things In Life

Last year I wrote a blog post about changing my spending habits and this is still relevant even today. Saving and spending less was one of my resolutions for 2016 and even in 2017 I am still on that tip; to buy what I need and items that I will be able to wear multiple times and most importantly to save more. This is linked to another resolution that I never mentioned but is high on my priority list and that is “being debt free”.

Enjoying The Last Few Days Of Summer

Hello Guys! We are finally into the last few days of summer and I could not be more excited. I must say that I have nothing against sunny days because some outfits are only justifiable only worn in that weather(Disclaimer lol). Even though today is officially the first day of autumn, the weather is still very much on the spring and summer tip. I mean it will still take a good number of days if not weeks to fully transition into autumn; but as mentioned in previous posts, I just prefer chilly days as the weather affords me the luxury of bringing out my outer wear.
