Thee Day: Happy Anniversary 1
December 17, 2016
A
year today, I opened the doors of sindisosdiary
and published my first post. I can’t believe that I stuck to this journey for
12 consecutive months. A year is a long time especially in terms of what can be
done or achieved. Honestly I am in awe of the growth and the amount of learning
that has taken place within this year. Ever so often one has to delve into
reflection mode and acknowledge what they are grateful for. I for sure am
grateful for good health, family, having a career and a passion (blogging) that
is booming into something to look forward to everyday. A lot could have gone haywire
but to God’s grace, mercy and compassion; things have been more positive.
I
hope you are enjoying your public holiday and to those that are at work, I hope
you are having a wonderful day too. It is the day of reconciliation here in
South Africa. I have said it before in debates with friends and family that it
is easy to say, let us reconcile and move on from the injustices of the past
but when you have been affected directly by what apartheid did then; it is a
different situation. Do not get me wrong, I am not saying that we should not
forgive each other, all I am saying is that let us acknowledge and respect whatever
feelings and decisions the affected families take in terms of moving on from
what happened then. People lost loved ones, young and old; brothers, sons and
fathers and families where never the same.
Moving
along from controversial topics, we are officially on the countdown to Christmas.
Are you guys ready? I feel overwhelmed as I am not ready for it. Thanks for
stopping as always and have a wonderful day friends and family. Kindly share
what you have planned for xmas as I am still trying to figure things out.
